Senior Systems Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
  • Architect and engineer complex systems to deliver exceptional business value
  • Implement and support systems, including resolving service issues in a timely manner
  • Plan and execute the retirement of legacy technology to ensure a smooth transition
  • Develop, maintain, and support technical infrastructure, hardware, and system software components
  • Configure, debug, and support multiple infrastructure platforms
  • Perform high-level root-cause analysis for service interruption recovery and create preventive measures
  • Ensure security compliance and software upgrade management of all servers and services
  • Develop and implement system backups and disaster recovery plans for all company servers and services
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field and five years of related work experience (or ten years of related work experience without a degree)
  • Proven experience with systems planning, security principles, and general software management best practices
  • Ability to perform complex problem analysis and decision making to support a highly dynamic computer environment
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to work well independently and in a collaborative environment
  • Excellent understanding of the organization's goals and objectives
  • Good understanding of the business case these systems will be used to support and the customer experience they will be delivering
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft M365 Products, specifically Power Platform, Exchange, SharePoint & Teams
  • 5 + years' experience with Microsoft Azure, Entra ID and Active Directory
  • General knowledge of VMware technology and virtualization
  • Excellent oral, written communication, and presentation skills
  • Strong work ethic, responsiveness, and passion for customer service and quality
  • Excellent team player and good interpersonal skills
