Job Summary

Sapphire Nursing at Wappingers is seeking skilled and compassionate LPNs to join our team for night shift positions. As a valued member of our team, you will provide direct nursing care to our residents and contribute to a supportive and collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality nursing care in structured and routine situations.
  • Administer and record medications and treatments as assigned.
  • Prepare for and assist with diagnostic procedures and treatments.
  • Reinforce, support, and provide health care instructions to patients and their families.
  • Participate in planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care and other patient activities.
  • Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge of patients.
  • Observe and report patients' vital signs, symptoms, and general condition to the appropriate individuals.
  • Record patients' responses to nursing care rendered.
  • Maintain environmental conditions conducive to the comfort and safety of patients.
  • Assist with unit management and/or assume charge of unit as assigned.
  • Perform other nursing functions related to patient care and nursing service, as delegated by the Nursing Service Administration.
  • Guide and direct other technicians and nurse's aides in rendering patient care.
  • Maintain clinical competence through participation and attendance at continuing education programs.
Requirements
  • Completion of an educational program and NYS licensure as a LPN.
  • Prior experience in a long-term skilled nursing facility is a plus.
