Job Summary:

Iowa Western Community College is seeking a qualified Adjunct Clinical Nursing Faculty member to join our team. As a clinical nursing instructor, you will work with nursing students in clinical and/or laboratory sites, guiding and teaching them in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach and evaluate student nurses in clinical and laboratory settings
  • Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of nursing students
  • Provide feedback and guidance to students to ensure their success
  • Collaborate with other faculty members and healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive learning experience
  • Stay current with industry developments and best practices in nursing education

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing plus two years of medical/surgical nursing practice experience or the equivalent
  • Current, unencumbered nursing licensure in Iowa and/or Nebraska
  • Ability to pass a background check and maintain a valid U.S. driver's license
  • Preferred: Master's Degree in Nursing, familiarity with state and national nursing education standards, and teaching experience in nursing

Working Conditions:

  • Work is routinely performed in a classroom environment
