Position Summary

We are seeking dedicated bakers, both part-time and full-time, to enhance our pastry program. As a Baker, you will collaborate with a skilled team to ensure the smooth operation of our bakery. Your role will involve preparing high-quality pastry items and ensuring they are baked to perfection for our various locations. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a structured environment and possess a keen eye for detail in their baking.

Key Responsibilities

  • Open and close the bakery as required.
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen tools and equipment.
  • Measure ingredients accurately for dough preparation.
  • Bake a variety of bread, including specialty types.
  • Adjust baking temperatures for optimal results.
  • Create fillings for pastries and pies using various ingredients.
  • Shape dough for different pastry styles.
  • Customize pastries based on customer requests.
  • Propose new recipes to diversify our menu.
  • Monitor inventory and manage supply orders.
  • Ensure cleanliness of all work areas and equipment.
  • Check functionality of kitchen appliances regularly.
  • Assist with stocking supplies and managing inventory.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation practices.
  • Basic math skills for recipe management.
  • Ability to manage multiple recipes effectively.
  • Kind and respectful communication with team members.

Education and Experience

  • High School diploma preferred.
  • Previous experience in baking or food service is advantageous.
  • Training in food preparation and customer service is beneficial.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Availability for early morning, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.
