Job Summary

LKQ Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Dismantling Helper to join our team. As a key member of our Processing Department, you will be responsible for assisting in the safe and efficient dismantling of vehicles, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Dismantler/Trainer with vehicle disassembly and component removal.
  • Learn and implement a systematic approach to dismantling, tagging, and storing vehicle parts.
  • Collaborate with Engine Dismantlers to develop expertise in engine disassembly.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Manager.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Background in body repair, mechanical, or previous dismantling experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Complete set of tools for dismantling and component removal.
  • Ability to follow instructions and accept constructive feedback.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated, hard-working, and dependable individual.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

  • Regularly sits, stands, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during working hours.
  • Subject to frequent interruptions and intense physical labor.
  • Must be able to lift at least 50-75 pounds.
