Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist to join our team at Memorial Hermann Health System. As a CT Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform CT scans on patients, preparing them for the procedure, explaining the process, and administering contrast when necessary.
  • Select and operate CT equipment to produce high-quality images, ensuring technical quality and patient safety.
  • Enter and monitor patient data, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Perform quality assurance on CT equipment, identifying and reporting any malfunctions or issues.
  • Assist with initial and renewal applications for accreditation and other regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and report any accidents, complaints, or equipment malfunctions to department management.
  • Take emergency calls within the department and may be required to work weekends and float to other locations as needed.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
  • Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support.
  • Current license or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT).
  • Registered CT Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-CT) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB(CT)) in Computed Tomography.
  • Minimum of one year of experience as a Computed Tomography Technologist or two years of experience as a Radiological Technologist with CT education or experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to lift and/or maneuver patients in conjunction with others to perform job functions.
