Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nursing Assistant to join our team at Opelousas General Hospital. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our nursing staff in delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide routine care and assistance to patients, including bathing, dressing, and ambulation.
• Assist nurses with patient care activities, such as vital sign checks and medication administration.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.

Requirements:

• Completion of a state-approved CNA program required.
• High School Diploma preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant certification required and CPR certification preferred.
• Current knowledge of clinical practice and ability to operate complex equipment, such as computers and medical devices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
