Financial Counselor

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Counseling Representative I to join our team at R1 RCM. As a key member of our National Financial Counseling Team, you will play a critical role in helping patients navigate the financial aspects of their healthcare.

• Provide financial screening and counseling to uninsured patients, identifying potential financial assistance programs and explaining payment options.
• Collaborate with clinical staff, case management, and Medicaid offices to ensure seamless patient care.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure excellent customer service.
• Stay up-to-date on all funding source options and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
• Participate in National Financial Counseling team initiatives to promote best-in-class uninsured patient screenings and conversion activities.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience as a financial counselor in a hospital or relevant healthcare setting preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and ability to multitask.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity goals.
