Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Ascension Saint Thomas. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for operating a scanner to obtain high-quality images used to diagnose and treat various pathologies.

Responsibilities
  • Operate MRI equipment to produce high-quality images of the body
  • Prepare and position patients for examinations, ensuring accurate and safe procedures
  • Enter and monitor patient data, transfer images, and develop film in an automatic processor
  • Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines to ensure patient safety
  • Report equipment malfunctions and maintain a clean and orderly department
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date
  • One or more of the following certifications: Cardiographic Tech, Nuclear Medical Tech, Radiologic Technologist, Medical Sonographer, or Technologist specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience
