Job Summary

The Maintenance Electrician reports to the Maintenance Team Lead and is responsible for conducting planned maintenance activities, installing, maintaining, and operating all plant electrical systems, troubleshooting and programming PLC's according to procedure while observing all safety regulations and ensuring GMP and quality standards are met to maintain the efficient flow of production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and operate all plant electrical systems, including switch gear, high/low voltage, drives, parts, and lighting
  • Set-up all electronic equipment for scheduled production runs
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair all electronic equipment, including wiring, scales, and metal detectors
  • Troubleshoot and program PLC's and encoder systems, including wiring
  • Conduct daily/weekly electrical PM's
  • Fabricate custom electronic parts
  • Implement safety devices on production lines
  • Complete required reports, including PM, Work Orders, and Centerline, in English
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required; college or trade school preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of electrical/electronic or related experience required; PLC certification preferred
  • Knowledge of plant safety, GMP's, and confined spaces
  • Be LOTO/PIT certified
  • Knowledge of normal/abnormal processes
