Role Summary:
Penn Foster Veterinary Academy seeks a dedicated professional to evaluate and grade subjective assessments and examinations. This position is designed to be flexible and remote, allowing for a balanced work-life integration.
The evaluator will play a crucial role in providing educational support by delivering constructive feedback aimed at helping students meet their learning objectives. Responsibilities include reviewing and grading various assignments, projects, and exams to facilitate student success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess subjective examinations with precision and impartiality, utilizing established grading criteria and rubrics.
- Provide clear and actionable feedback to students, emphasizing both areas for enhancement and strengths.
- Ensure prompt submission of exam evaluations and maintain accurate grading records.
- Engage in special grading initiatives as required.
- Complete grading tasks within a five-day timeframe.
- Respond to internal communications within 24 hours on weekdays and 48 hours on weekends.
- Participate in accreditation activities as necessary.
- Comply with all Penn Foster policies, including those related to Professional Development.
Qualifications:
- Possess an Associate Degree from an AVMA accredited Veterinary Technician Program and hold credentials as a Veterinary Technician.
- Have at least 2 years of experience as a Credentialed Veterinary Technician, with a preference for prior teaching experience.
- Exhibit strong computer proficiency, troubleshooting skills, and familiarity with online learning environments.
- Demonstrate quick decision-making abilities, effective communication skills, and efficient work practices.
- Access to high-speed Internet and a personal computer or Mac is essential.
