POSITION OBJECTIVE:

The Sales Associate plays a vital role in assisting Management to foster a customer-centric and product-focused sales culture, ensuring that our core values and guiding principles are integral to all store operations, which includes delivering an exceptional customer experience and optimizing profitability.

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Drive for Results

  • Achieves company sales targets by employing effective sales techniques and sharing product knowledge with customers; assists in recommending merchandise selections or locating items based on customer preferences.
  • Stays informed about current sales and promotions; upholds pricing and visual presentation standards.
  • Maintains high standards in merchandise handling, presentation, loss prevention, and other tasks as directed by Management.
  • Engages in visual merchandising initiatives, including monthly store setups and zone maintenance.
Customer Experience

  • Exemplifies and promotes the Most Amazing Personal Service (MAPS) principles, ensuring a seamless omni-channel experience.
  • Addresses customer concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Facilitates a swift and efficient checkout process, remaining knowledgeable about policies regarding payments, coupons, returns, exchanges, security practices, and other operational procedures.
  • Reinforces purchasing decisions at the register and meets add-on sales goals, including gift card promotions.
  • Enrolls clients in the rewards program.
  • Cultivates and maintains a loyal customer base through personalized service and wardrobe consultations.
  • Familiarizes with current product fit and style offerings available in-store and online.
  • Maintains consistent communication with clients through a customer book.
Operational Excellence

  • Supports replenishment efforts to ensure the store remains well-stocked and inviting.
  • Assists with locating fulfillment tasks.
  • Contributes to visual merchandising efforts, including floor sets, window displays, and signage placement as directed.
  • Aids in maintaining boutique cleanliness and organization.
Teamwork and Growth

  • Encourages an inclusive and collaborative approach to problem-solving.
  • Actively seeks personal development opportunities and welcomes constructive feedback.
Other duties as assigned.

This position may be available across various brands, and specific responsibilities may differ from one brand to another.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Previous retail or sales experience preferred
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Strong communication skills
  • Exceptional customer service abilities
  • Capable of learning and adapting to company-provided technology
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask in a dynamic environment
  • Effective communication with customers, associates, and management
  • Regular attendance is crucial for this role to ensure adequate coverage to meet company objectives. Flexibility to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Continuous walking/standing throughout an 8-hour shift
  • Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. (1-33% of an 8-hour shift)
  • Frequent climbing (34%-66% of an 8-hour shift)
