Job Description

The Registered Nurse in PACU at Williamson Health provides expert pre- and post-anesthesia care to patients in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This role requires adherence to safety protocols, collaboration with surgical teams, and a commitment to delivering compassionate and culturally competent patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Plans the patient's care on an individual basis, identifying problems/needs, nursing diagnosis, standards of care/practice, interventions consistent with identified problems and attainable outcomes.
  • Collaborates with appropriate surgical team members to effectively coordinate the delivery of patient care in a timely manner.
  • Functions independently with treatments, procedures, and equipment appropriate to areas evidence by adherence to policy, procedure, and competency-based assessment and no pattern or trend of problem.
  • Handles/transports/stores/prepares/administers medications/solutions safely and in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Documents accurately and timely.
  • Reassesses patient's condition, evaluates patient response, and modifies plan of care accordingly and in a timely manner.
  • Facilitates staff development and assists in helping train new staff.

  • Earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university.
  • Must respond to hospital within thirty minutes for
