Job Summary:

Lake Behavioral Hospital is seeking a skilled Psychiatrist to join our team on a contract basis. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and managing the medication of psychiatric patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct timely and comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for adult and adolescent patients upon admission.
  • Develop treatment plans addressing cognitive, emotional, developmental, social, and behavioral disorders.
  • Utilize psychotherapeutic methods and medications to provide effective patient treatment.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to maintain an interdisciplinary approach to treatment.
  • Enforce policies, procedures, and legal regulations to ensure quality and safe patient service.
  • Participate in emergency consultations and provide oversight of Nurse Practitioners.
  • Prescribe pharmacologic interventions as necessary and review and sign applicable laboratory and diagnostic test results.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and stakeholders, fostering a person-centered approach.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient records.

Requirements:

  • MD/DO Degree from an Accredited University.
  • Physician licensed to practice under Chapter 18.71 RCW, Board Eligible or Board Certified in Psychiatry.
  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in a psychiatric setting.

Compensation:

This is a contract role, and the expected compensation range is $55.00 per patient visit for 15-20 patients per day.
