About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Architect to join our team at Helmerich & Payne. As a key member of our IT organization, you will be responsible for designing and implementing secure systems to protect our network and data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain the overall security architecture strategy for the organization, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and integrate a variety of cybersecurity tools and technologies, including firewalls, endpoint protection systems, encryption tools, and SIEM systems.
  • Collaborate with other IT and cybersecurity teams to ensure the effective implementation of security measures and to address any security-related issues.
  • Stay current with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies, and evaluate and recommend new tools and practices to enhance the organization's security posture.
  • Mentor other members of the team to help them grow in their cybersecurity knowledge and document best practice procedures for the team.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on architecture, design, and implementation of security solutions.
  • Proficiency in a wide range of cybersecurity tools and technologies, including identity and access management, firewalls and VPNs, SIEM systems, endpoint protection, encryption technologies, and cloud security.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to be the technical lead on projects, mentor junior staff, and work with cross-functional teams.
