Job Summary:


A well-established custom home builder in the Atlanta region is seeking a skilled accountant with expertise in residential construction to enhance our financial team.

This role will entail overseeing daily, weekly, and monthly financial processes, which include managing accounts payable, processing daily invoices, maintaining vendor relationships, conducting month-end closings, executing various standard journal entries, generating financial reports, and providing support to both office personnel and builders.

Salary:
$ per hour

Work Hours: 9 to 5

Experience: 5 Years

Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the accounts payable process to ensure payment accuracy, vendor relations, and compliance with insurance requirements.
2. Conduct standard weekly and monthly reconciliations for bank and credit card accounts.
3. Prepare month-end journal entries as necessary.
4. Generate various financial reports and review monthly and annual financial statements.
5. Assist with annual insurance renewals and coordinate insurance audits.
6. Monitor active loans and manage terms and draw requests.
7. Prepare annual 1099 forms.
8. Set up jobs and accounts within the accounting system.

Qualifications:
Preferred candidates will have 7+ years of relevant accounting experience in residential construction. Familiarity with Buildertrend software is advantageous.
