Chemistry Instructor

Truckee Meadows Community College is seeking a qualified Part-Time Faculty to teach general chemistry courses with lab for the Department of Physical Sciences. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Chemistry or a closely related field and a passion for teaching and learning.

• Teach general chemistry courses with lab, including CHEM 100, CHEM 121, and CHEM 122
• Assess student learning and stay current in the field of chemistry
• Use current technology and maintain appropriate standards of ethics and professional conduct
• Participate in professional development and contribute to the growth and development of the Department of Physical Sciences

• Master's degree in Chemistry or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution
• Desire to work in a diverse academic environment with students, faculty, and staff from many different backgrounds

• Competitive hourly rate of $1,010 per credit for 100- and 200-level courses and $1,100 per credit for 300- and 400-level courses
• Opportunity to attend a paid Orientation and receive paid professional development training
• Tuition reimbursement through Grant-in-Aid and longevity payments based on years of service
