Chamber Events Planner

**About the Role**
The Prince William Chamber of Commerce is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Event Planning Specialist to join our team. This role will be responsible for planning and executing Chamber events, working closely with staff to ensure successful event execution.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Plan and execute Chamber events, including programming, venue research, theme coordination, and logistics management
- Develop outreach and contact lists, communicate with vendors, sponsors, and attendees via phone and email
- Coordinate with hosts, provide registration counts, and track registrations
- Maintain and update electronic files for each event, including Cost & Benefits Sheets, After Action Reports, and Tax Deductible Thank You letters
**Requirements**
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Prior events experience preferred
- Excellent client service, written and spoken communication skills
- Strong organization and time management skills, ability to prioritize
- Attention to detail and deadlines
- Able to work cooperatively with staff and volunteers in a team environment
- Proficient in using mainstream technology and programs: Microsoft Office Suite, GrowthZone database, Trello, Teams/Zoom (or willingness to learn)
**Working Conditions**
This role requires an office environment and occasional off-site work at conference centers. Some weekends and evenings may be required. The position demands physical exertion such as pulling, pushing, reaching, bending, standing, walking, and lifting up to 30 lbs.
**Salary Range**
We offer a competitive salary range of $40,000 - $55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
