Drafter I Position

Talen Energy is seeking a highly skilled Drafter I to join our team at the Susquehanna Steam Electric Station in Pennsylvania. As a Drafter I, you will play a crucial role in creating detailed engineering drawings and designs for various projects.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and prepare accurate and legible detailed engineering drawings using computer-assisted drafting equipment.
- Work from verbal or written instructions or rough sketches to create layout and preliminary study drawings.
- Assist Drafters of a higher classification in developing and presenting design details to engineering personnel.
- Obtain field data needed for the development of design drawings.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or as necessary.
- High school graduate or equivalent, supplemented by successful completion of a high school vocational-technical curriculum in Drafting or two semesters of college drafting.
- Successful completion of a Basic Math Skills course which includes geometry and trigonometry.
- Ability to draw and letter neatly and efficiently.
- General knowledge and experience in the use of various drafting instruments and equipment.
- Knowledge and experience in the use of a computer and computer-assisted drafting equipment is desirable.
