Key Responsibilities- Provide professional nursing care to patients, including administering treatments and medications as prescribed.
- Assist with the preparation of equipment and assist providers during treatment, examination, and testing of patients.
- Observe, record, and report patients' condition and reaction to drugs or treatments to providers.
- Oversee appointment bookings and ensure timely flow of patients.
- Greets patients and obtains well-documented history and vitals, prepares patients for physical exam, and instructs patients in collection of samples and tests.
- Perform various tasks, including vital sign collection, initial patient assessment, coordination of patient transfer to hospital and/or discharge, telephone orders, acceptance of telephone test results, telephone triage, prescription refills, specimen collection, and more.
- Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing or vocational nursing.
- Valid state license to practice nursing.
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
This is a full-time position that requires a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. As a member of our team, you will be expected to maintain confidentiality, adhere to CHRISTUS Health's policies and procedures, and support the organization's mission and values.
