This role will work closely with the Assistant General Counsel to ensure alignment and effective collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary legal advisor for at least one of Balchem's business segments.
- Draft, assess, and negotiate a variety of contracts and agreements, including those related to procurement and real estate.
- Conduct legal research and provide necessary legal training to internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with various internal teams to address legal inquiries and provide guidance on legal matters.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law institution, with active membership in a state bar.
- A minimum of five years of experience in a law firm or corporate legal department; in-house experience is advantageous.
- Familiarity with advertising law is preferred.
- Experience in environmental law and/or labor and employment law is a plus.
- Willingness to relocate within commuting distance of Montvale, NJ.
- Hybrid work model, typically requiring in-office presence three days a week.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing legal landscapes.
- Strong business insight and capability to provide practical legal solutions.
- Demonstrated initiative and leadership in managing various projects.
- Exemplary integrity and a robust work ethic.
- Effective communication skills with diverse contacts, including external legal counsel and senior management.
- Primarily sedentary work, utilizing standard office equipment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Some domestic and international travel may be required.
