The Team

The Accounting Operations Reconciliation team is a collaborative and innovative group of accounting professionals who are passionate about delivering high-quality results. Our team is responsible for month-end and quarter-close processes, including balance sheet reconciliations and financial statement impacts. We pride ourselves on our agility, reliability, and commitment to continuous improvement.

The Impact

As a member of this team, you will have a significant impact on the organization by utilizing your skills to execute core operational accounting tasks, support business operational areas, and contribute to the development of innovative solutions. Your responsibilities may include:

  • Executing assigned monthly close responsibilities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and controls.
  • Partnering with business operational areas to resolve variances and understand the risk and impacts to financial statements.
  • Utilizing industry best practices to visualize data and identify trends.
  • Analyzing results and contributing to commentary that enables readers to quickly understand impacts to their respective areas.
  • Identifying and implementing accounting or business operational improvements that increase business value and efficiency.
  • Responding to inquiries and requests from internal and external auditors.
  • Developing, documenting, and ensuring adherence to an internal control framework that ensures accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Complying with Sarbanes-Oxley (FRR) standard work/initiatives.
  • Collaborating with multiple stakeholders to improve processes and contribute to projects and continuous improvement activities.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in accounting, business management, economics, finance, math, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in financial services.
