Forensic Psychiatrist Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled Forensic Psychiatrist to join our team at Physician Empire. As a Forensic Psychiatrist, you will provide therapeutic leadership and medical supervision for our 24/7 community-based inpatient and outreach level of care for PACT (Program of Assertive Community Treatment) program.
About the Role
This is a unique opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team consisting of the Senior Vice President of Adult Services, the Program Director, and the nursing, residential, and counseling staff. You will be responsible for approximately four hours a day of on-site time with on-call availability for consultation. Knowledge of medication-assisted treatment options for substance abuse is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide site-specific medical supervision and leadership to ensure that the program provides optimum care for individuals served by the program in a recovery model.
- Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to serve individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders and those involved with the local criminal justice system.
- Develop and implement treatment plans that address the unique needs of each individual.
Requirements
- Medical license in Massachusetts required.
- Controlled substance registration application and a federal DEA certificate needed.
- Familiarity with electronic health records and word processing.
