The Residence Hall Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a residential community at San Diego State University. This includes providing guidance and support to students, coordinating co-curricular educational initiatives, and managing crises that may arise within the community.
About the Role
This is a key position within the Residential Education department, reporting directly to the Associate Directors of Residential Education. The Coordinator will work closely with a team of Resident Advisors or Community Assistants to provide a supportive and engaging living-learning environment for students.
Responsibilities
- Student Support and Guidance: Provide academic and personal support to students, including counseling and advising.
- Program Planning and Coordination: Develop and implement co-curricular educational initiatives that promote student learning and development.
- Crisis Management: Respond to and manage crises that may arise within the residential community.
- Facilities Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the residential community, including budget management and facilities maintenance.
