Job Title: Preschool Aide

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Preschool Aide to join our team at the City of Medford, OR. As a Preschool Aide, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and nurturing environment for young children, promoting their cognitive, social, and emotional development.

Job Summary:

The Preschool Aide will assist in the supervision of preschool-age children, engage in activities that promote learning and development, and maintain a clean and organized environment. This is a part-time, year-round position that requires flexibility and a commitment to providing exceptional care and support to our young learners.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the supervision of preschool-age children during activities, meals, and rest periods
  • Engage in activities that promote learning and development, such as arts and crafts, games, and storytelling
  • Maintain a clean and organized environment, including the classroom and playground
  • Assist with daily routines, such as feeding, bathing, and dressing children
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; early childhood education or experience preferred
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and weekends
