Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Critical Care Float Pool RN to join our team at i4 Search Group Healthcare. As a Critical Care Float Pool RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, and evaluate patient care needs in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Carry out physician orders and administer prescribed medications as needed.
- Provide respiratory and ventilator management and monitoring for patients, as well as perform other critical care-related tasks.
- Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate, utilizing computerized documentation systems.
- Instruct and educate patients and families on various aspects of care.
- Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
- Provide age and culturally appropriate care, as well as orient and mentor new staff members.
- Follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Requirements:
- BSN preferred - Will accept ASN if enrolled in BSN program.
- Active RN license within the State of practice.
- 2 years of current acute care hospital critical care experience.
- Current Certifications Required: BCLS/ACLS upon hire NIHSS within 90 days Preferred: CCRN.
- Passing score on Critical Care Test/ Rhythm interpretation examination.
- Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 pounds and exposure to patient elements and handling of emergencies and critical patient incidents.
- Ability to multitask with limited direction.
- Advanced knowledge of critical care departments within the facility.
