Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled SAS Programmer to join our team at Megan Soft Inc. as a key member of our Enterprise Modernization team.

Job Title: SAS Programmer - Enterprise Modernization Specialist

Location: Remote/Hybrid

Duration: 12+ Months

Client: Megan Soft Inc.

Position Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for converting SAS programs from mainframe and server environments to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for various application teams. Additionally, they will develop SAS programs in SAS Mainframe, SAS Linux, and SAS Viya (on GCP) platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Converting SAS programs from mainframe and server environments to GCP
  • Developing SAS programs in SAS Mainframe, SAS Linux, and SAS Viya (on GCP) platforms
  • Collaborating with fellow software engineers, product owners, data champions, and other technical experts
  • Demonstrating technical knowledge and communication skills to advocate for well-designed solutions

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of professional development and administration experience with SAS Viya 4.0, programming SAS 9.4 on Linux and Mainframe platforms, and Mainframe experience (JCL, COBOL, CA7, DB2)
  • Experience in Google Cloud Platform (especially BigQuery)
  • Experience using Teradata
  • Experience writing Python and shell scripts on Linux
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a closely related scientific field of study

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SAS Programmer Certification (Basic or advanced)
  • Basic Software developer Hacker rank tests scores
