About the Position

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our Student Support Services team at the Educational Service Center of the Western Reserve.

Job Summary

This is a part-time/full-time position that requires implementing intervention and therapy regarding students' fine and gross motor skills and functional abilities. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students, be able to adapt to different environments, and possess strong communication skills.

Responsibilities
  • Implement occupational therapy services to students according to IEP goals.
  • Adapt school and classroom environments, tools, and materials to improve student functioning and access to curricular activities.
  • Supervise OT Assistants as needed.
  • Maintain student confidentiality and caution others about potential breaches.
  • Attend meetings and workshops for conveying and receiving information on best practices for school OT delivery.
  • Consult with physical therapists, speech therapists, teachers, and families to provide information and review/revise students' occupational therapy goals/objectives.
  • Implement therapeutic activities and instruct students, teachers, parents, and other involved persons on positioning and adjusting special equipment.
  • Maintain treatment equipment and supplies in clean and proper working condition.
  • Presents information for communicating student performance data and clinical feedback.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Valid License with the State of Ohio Department of Education.
  • Certified Occupational Therapist (COT) or eligible to become certified.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform other physical demands.

Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
