Job Overview:

The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking an experienced adjunct instructor to deliver educational seminars focused on parenting. This role is crucial in providing essential knowledge and skills to participants through structured educational programs. The instructor will be responsible for leading a 4-hour seminar on parenting education, utilizing a state-approved curriculum designed to meet the needs of diverse learners.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct engaging and informative seminars on parenting education at designated locations.
- Utilize state-approved instructional materials to facilitate learning.
- Collect and analyze participant feedback through evaluations to enhance the quality of the program.
- Assign final grades based on participant performance and completion of the seminar.
- Perform additional duties as required to support the educational mission.

Minimum Qualifications:

- A professional background or teaching experience in relevant fields such as family mediation, mental health, social work, counseling, or parenting education.
- Proficient in using Internet applications and PC-based software, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience in teaching subjects related to child development, adult education, and family dynamics.
- Ability to participate in mandated training sessions.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage a diverse audience.
