Critical Care Nurse

Next Move Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) and Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team.
Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in our ICU and LTAC settings. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with critically ill patients with complex conditions, providing ventilator weaning, pulmonary and cardiopulmonary disease management, wound care, dialysis, and postoperative care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and create, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
- Monitor and care for ICU patients, including those on ventilators and other critical care equipment.
- Provide care to med-surg patients with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 4-5:1, and to ICU patients with a ratio of 2-3:1.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team, including respiratory therapists and wound care specialists, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and ongoing care needs.
- Document patient care accurately and timely in accordance with hospital protocols.
- Foster a supportive environment, ensuring patient comfort and safety at all times.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program.
- Current and valid RN license.
- BLS certification (must obtain within 30 days of hire).
- Strong clinical skills, particularly in critical care, med-surg, and ventilator management.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and basic computer systems.
