VitalCore Health Strategies seeks a highly skilled Dental Care Specialist to join our team at the Old Colony Correctional Center. This role involves providing comprehensive dental care to patients, including surgical procedures, cosmetic dentistry, restorative dentistry, oral surgery, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, teeth whitening, and general dental care.

About the Role:

  • This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary of $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Diagnostic and Treatment Services: Perform routine dental exams and cleanings, diagnose and treat dental conditions, and provide personalized treatment plans for patients.
  2. Surgical Procedures: Conduct dental surgeries and extractions, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals as needed.
  3. Patient Communication: Engage in effective communication with patients, discuss treatment options, and address any concerns they may have.
  4. Clinical Collaboration: Work collaboratively with nurses, medical doctors, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.

Requirements:

  • Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Active state dental license and current certification in CPR and First Aid.
  • Proven experience in dental surgery, restorative dentistry, and oral surgery, preferably in a correctional facility setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in pediatric dentistry and prosthodontics, with knowledge of electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients who speak these languages.
