We are seeking a highly-experienced Principal Engineer, Logistics and Supportability Engineering to join our team at RTX. As a key member of our Integrated Product Team, you will be responsible for performing product support engineering analyses and planning tasks for integrated communication and avionics systems and solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Work independently with minimal management oversight to coach and develop junior team members on integrated product support element activities.
- Perform and develop Maintenance Planning / Maintenance Task Analysis, Life Cycle Cost/Cost of Ownership Analysis, and Reliability Centered Maintenance / Condition Based Maintenance requirements.
- Develop and execute Spares analysis, Trade Studies to illustrate cost/benefit of various support alternatives, and Level of Repair Analysis (LORA).
- Identify common and peculiar support equipment requirements and coordinate and drive discussions with Central Support Services leadership on resource planning and project execution.
- Develop and manage Supportability Engineering data inputs to Logistics Management Information / Logistics Product Data.
- Identify DMSMS drivers, develop DMSMS planning, evaluate and implement DMSMS resolutions.
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Experience working with customers to define requirements, defining support and maintenance requirements at the organizational, intermediate, and depot level for electronic equipment, and performing Reliability Centered Maintenance Analyses/Condition Based Maintenance.
- Experience with engineering tools such as Windchill, SlicWave, PowerLog J2, EAGLE, COMPASS, CASA, OPUS, CATLOC, VMETRIC, CAMEO.
- Support modelling experience using Excel and other general modelling and programming tools.
- Experience developing and maintaining relationships with Maintainability, Reliability, Safety, and Testability functional groups.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is preferred.
- Competitive salary range of $96,000 - $200,000.
