About the Role

Aureon Consulting is seeking a seasoned Senior Business Analyst to join our team on a long-term contract basis. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for driving business outcomes and delivering high-quality solutions to our clients in the Financial Services industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Requirements Definition and User Testing Acceptance: Partner with IT to define and validate business requirements, ensuring seamless integration with our clients' systems.
  • Requirements Elicitation and Documentation: Facilitate workshops and activities to elicit requirements, creating Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) and User Stories that meet our clients' needs.
  • Requirements Management: Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation of business processes and requirements, escalating any gaps or issues to the Product Owner and Project Manager.
  • UAT Coordination and Testing: Partner with the Project Manager to define UAT testing activities and timelines, ensuring comprehensive test cases to validate all final approved requirements.
  • Test Strategy and Test Scenarios: Create and maintain the test strategy document in partnership with the Product Owner, ensuring effective testing of our clients' systems.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate UAT test metrics daily to the project team, lead/co-lead UAT testing meetings, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Requirements
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience as a member of an Agile software development team, preferably as an Agile Business Analyst, Product Owner, or Scrum Master.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in the Financial Services industry, particularly in the Broker-Dealer space, is highly preferred.
  • Skills: Strong management, communication, technical, and remote collaboration skills, with the ability to facilitate remote meetings and workshops.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Financial Services Experience: Experience in Financial Services, Broker-Dealer Industry preferred.
  • Agile Methodologies: Ability to demonstrate how to conduct story mapping and user story writing sessions to create a product backlog.
  • Communication Skills: Demonstrated excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, and break down high-level information into details.
