This position is classified as full-time and exempt.

Department Overview
The Financial Systems Support division operates within the Record to Report (R2R) framework at Archer Daniels Midland Company. This team is dedicated to offering various forms of assistance to multiple R2R accounting units, which includes resolving issues with existing procedures, managing several applications, and developing, enhancing, and optimizing both new and current accounting workflows. The applications supported by this team encompass Hyperion and Blackline.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide rapid support during the accounting close phase, addressing issues such as errors in Excel documents, troubleshooting automated processes, and managing security concerns.
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to collect requirements and devise solutions for ongoing improvement initiatives.
  • Design and execute solutions for immediate requests.
  • Deliver system administration support for financial applications.
  • Operate autonomously with minimal supervision.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors to fulfill audit-related requests.
Essential Skills:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with additional expertise in VBA/macros considered a significant advantage.
  • Comfortable querying SQL databases, with experience in constructing and maintaining tables within a SQL database being a major plus.
  • Understanding of accounting principles and practices, with practical application experience being beneficial.
  • Strong sense of ownership over tasks, independent problem-solving capabilities, and a creative approach to challenges.
Preferred Skills:
  • Familiarity with Hyperion or other large-scale ERP systems.
  • Experience in both accounting and IT to effectively bridge communication between accounting needs and technical support.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power BI or similar reporting tools.
Educational Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Information Systems is required.
