This role involves coordinating and supervising nursing services to a group of residents in a facility for people with developmental disabilities. As a Nurse Specialist, you will work closely with non-professional staff to ensure the health needs of our residents are met.

Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Supervise and coordinate nursing services to assigned groups of residents">
  • Work closely with physicians to assess and intervene when necessary">
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and progress">
  • Oversight of Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and paraprofessional staff">
  • Emergency response and incident management">
  • Maintenance of Support Staff competency in nursing delegated functions">
  • Participation in Staff Development programs and Continuing Education">
  • Relief of other professional staff as assigned">

Requirements:

  • ">
  • A valid Florida Driver's License">
  • Corrective Lenses Restricted license acceptable with corrective lenses worn while operating a state vehicle">
  • Willingness to perform essential services before, during, and after an emergency">
  • Ability to interact, assess, and respond to individuals with developmental disabilities">
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, and bend for periods in excess of three hours">
  • Ability to assist in lifting and transferring residents weighing more than 100 pounds">
  • Successful completion of Prevention and Safety Strategies Training">
  • Certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)">
  • Current Registered Nurse license">

Salary Range:

We offer a competitive salary range of $2,299.04 - $2,525.06 bi-weekly, depending on experience. This translates to an estimated annual salary of $59,774.96 - $65,651.66. Please note that the hiring salary may exceed the maximum posted salary.
