Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Design Engineer II to join our Azure Operator Nexus platform team. This individual will be responsible for designing and developing edge computing platforms, automating and managing customer hybrid cloud platforms and workload deployments, and building next-generation Internet of Things solutions.

Responsibilities

  • ">
  • Develop network components based on customer, business, and technical requirements.">
  • Participate in design and network or code reviews to identify risks and prevent classes of bugs prior to production release.">
  • Independently develop reliable, scalable, and high-performance designs for network components and features.">
  • Troubleshoot and repair live site issues by applying an understanding of network components and features.">

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • ">
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.">
  • Knowledge of Ethernet, fiber optics, 802.1Q VLANs, VRF (Virtual Routing and Forwarding), TCP/IP, DHCP, BGP, MPLS, and VxLAN (Virtual Extensible LAN).">
  • Experience with configuration, management, diagnostics of network devices (switches, routers) and protocols (ethernet & routing protocols).">
