Mammography Technologist

Memorial Hermann Health System is seeking a skilled and experienced Mammography Technologist to join our team. As a Mammography Technologist, you will be responsible for performing mammography radiographic exams on patients, ensuring compliance with all radiation safety procedures.

You will prepare patients for exams, explain procedures, administer contrast when necessary, position patients for exams, select appropriate imaging techniques, and ensure technical quality of images. Additionally, you will enter and monitor patient data, perform quality assurance on mammography equipment, and assist with initial and renewal applications for ACR and other accreditation.

This is a full-time position with a day shift schedule, and you will be required to float to all outpatient imaging centers. If you are a motivated and detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.

• Perform mammography radiographic exams on patients, ensuring compliance with all radiation safety procedures
• Prepare patients for exams, explain procedures, administer contrast when necessary, position patients for exams, select appropriate imaging techniques, and ensure technical quality of images
• Enter and monitor patient data
• Perform quality assurance on mammography equipment
• Assist with initial and renewal applications for ACR and other accreditation
• Identify and report any accidents, complaints, or equipment malfunctions to department management
• Take emergency calls within the department

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
• Graduate of an approved program of mammography technology
• Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support
• Current license or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT), required
• Registered Radiology Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R)
• Registered Mammography Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-M)

This position requires the ability to lift and/or maneuver patients in conjunction with others in order to perform job functions. You will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions and deadlines. You must be able to work effectively in a team environment and communicate effectively with patients, staff, and management.
