Job Description:

The Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for administering respiratory therapy, diagnostic procedures, and maintaining records for patients with abnormal respiratory conditions.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Deliver therapeutic interventions, including gas therapy, humidification, and aerosol therapy.
  • Conduct diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using manual techniques or mechanical ventilators.
  • Record patient data, including medications and treatments given, and note patient reactions.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to manage emergency situations and participate in ongoing programs.
  • Support physicians/nurses with intubation, blood drawing, and other procedures as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Ensure proper equipment maintenance, supply management, and safe working conditions.

Education and Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree; Associate's degree preferred.
  • IL Respiratory Therapist license required.
  • CRT or RRT Certification Required.
  • CPR and ACLS required; NRP preferred.

Compensation and Benefits:$78,000 - $108,000 per year, comprehensive benefits package, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
