Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled attorney specializing in litigation and trial practice to represent clients in various legal matters. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in legal research, document preparation, and courtroom representation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients in litigation cases, which includes conducting thorough legal research, drafting essential legal documents and briefs, and appearing in court.
  • Engage in the discovery process, including conducting depositions and witness examinations, while identifying and preparing necessary exhibits.
  • Prepare pleadings, dispositive motions, and motions to compel discovery in accordance with specific litigation in federal courts.
  • Draft client memos and briefings that summarize significant legal developments, including recent decisions and legislative changes.
  • Manage e-discovery tasks, including drafting document retention notices and participating in negotiations with opposing counsel regarding discovery scope.
  • Interview and prepare witnesses for depositions, and conduct fact witness depositions as required.
  • Participate in status conferences and maintain communication with clients, opposing counsel, and judges; handle oral arguments on motions and lead mediation or settlement discussions.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law and in good standing in the states of Georgia and New York.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as an attorney focusing on litigation and trial practice within an international law firm.
  • Experience in complex commercial litigation, including securities and antitrust class actions, as well as white-collar defense and investigations.
  • Proficient in conducting depositions and witness interviews, including utilizing remote deposition software.
  • Ability to prepare client alerts regarding data security and privacy issues.
  • Experience drafting submissions to regulatory bodies related to fraud, securities, healthcare, and data breach investigations.
  • Knowledgeable in advising on data security laws and assessing litigation and regulatory risks associated with cyber incidents.
  • Experience in drafting pleadings and dispositive motions, including demurrers and motions to compel discovery.
  • Capable of advising on pre-litigation disputes and facilitating mediation preparations.
  • Skilled in managing large-scale electronic discovery using data analytics platforms.

Compensation: Salary range: $235,000 - $375,000
