Job Title: Area Supervisor

As an Area Supervisor at Ross Stores, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our stores. You will be responsible for supervising a team of Retail Associates, maintaining a safe and secure shopping environment, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a high level of awareness on the sales floor to create a safe and secure shopping environment for everyone.
  • Supervise and train Retail Associates to ensure they are executing to Company standards.
  • Ensure all areas of the store are clean, well-maintained, and merchandised to standard.
  • Process all merchandise with a sense of urgency and ensure all non-merchandise inbound deliveries are received and processed promptly.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with Store Leadership to achieve sales goals and improve store performance.
Requirements:
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to use all Store equipment, including PDTs, registers, and PC as required.
  • Ability to spend up to 100% of working time standing, walking, and moving around the Store.
  • Ability to regularly bend at the waist, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop.
  • Ability to occasionally push, pull, and lift more than 25 lbs.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Retail Associates
  • Stockroom Leads (where applicable)
