We are currently looking for a dedicated Apartment Maintenance Specialist to become a vital part of our team.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in various aspects of apartment maintenance, including plumbing, HVAC, electrical systems, and appliance repair. This role is essential in ensuring the physical integrity of our community, providing a safe, secure, and comfortable living environment for all residents, visitors, and staff. The Apartment Maintenance Specialist will be responsible for executing work orders and fulfilling other essential tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of grounds, amenities, building exteriors, leasing office, parking areas, and other community facilities.
- Regularly remove trash from office spaces and the perimeter of the apartment community.
- Assist in preparing market-ready units, including the removal of debris from vacant apartments prior to make-ready.
- Support the Maintenance Supervisor/Community Manager by performing assigned maintenance tasks promptly.
- Help in cleaning available apartments and model units.
- Assist the maintenance team with snow removal when necessary.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, carpentry, and electrical issues.
- Report maintenance concerns regarding available apartments, models, clubhouse, and common areas to the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Ensure curb appeal is meticulously maintained.
- Assist management with various tasks as required.
- Deliver communication documentation to residents.
- Maintain inventory of materials and supplies.
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance.
Qualifications:
- Experience in apartment maintenance is required.
- A High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
- Knowledge of the apartment industry, including plumbing, appliance repair, electrical work, and HVAC systems is advantageous.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including Windows (Word and Excel), internet, and email.
- Experience with Yardi software is a plus.
- Availability for on-call emergency rotation and responsiveness to after-hours emergencies is necessary.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is required.
- Reliable transportation is essential.
