As a Radiology Intervention Specialist, you will work under the guidance of the Nurse Manager or their delegate. Your primary responsibilities will include delivering direct patient care, assisting physicians during interventional procedures, and ensuring adherence to radiation safety and infection control protocols. You will also be tasked with maintaining imaging equipment, conducting quality assurance checks, and meticulously documenting all procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care and support during interventional radiology procedures.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and hospital policies.
- Maintain and operate imaging equipment effectively.
- Perform quality assurance tasks and document procedures accurately.
- Exhibit strong communication and educational skills.
Flexibility and the ability to work on-call, including rotating weekends, are essential to meet the demands of this role.
Compensation: $73.81 per hour
QualificationsTo be considered for this position, please include all relevant licenses, certifications, and qualifications in your resume:
- ARRT license – required
- CRT license – required
- Fluoroscopic permit – required
- BCLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross – required
- Graduate of a Radiologic Technologist program – required
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting over 35 lbs. and wearing a 25 lbs. lead apron – required
- Minimum of 6 months experience in an interventional setting – preferred
- VI or CV certification – preferred
- Willingness to adhere to the posted schedule and respond to on-call requests within 30 minutes for urgent cases.
