Job Summary

The Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine is seeking a highly qualified and dedicated individual to join our faculty as an Assistant/Associate Professor of Anatomy. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for teaching small group and virtual gross anatomy laboratory instruction to osteopathic medical students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver engaging and effective teaching materials and presentations for gross anatomy, embryology, histology, and neuroanatomy courses.
  • Design and implement virtual laboratory experiences to enhance student learning and understanding.
  • Collaborate with other faculty members to develop and implement problem-based learning (PBL) curriculum.
  • Assess and evaluate student performance and provide feedback to students.
  • Contribute to the development of the college through research and service.
  • Participate in scholarly activity to enrich and broaden the student learning experience.
  • Represent the college in a professional and respectful manner.
Requirements
  • Doctorate level of achievement (Ph.D., D.O., M.D., D.C. or Ed D) in a relevant field.
  • 2-5 years' experience as a subject matter expert in gross anatomy, embryology, histology, and neuroanatomy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and service.

  • Previous experience in a small group teaching or facilitating environment.
