Department Overview
The emergency department is a 18-bed facility with a annual volume of 16,000 patients. The department operates with solo physician coverage from 7 AM to 7 PM, with advanced practitioner support from 10 AM to 10 PM. Shifts are 12 hours in length, with a small overlap on each shift change to ensure smooth handoffs.
