Job Summary

Muller is seeking a highly skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. As an Excavation and Skid Steer Operator, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment such as excavators, bobcats, and mini excavators to perform excavation and grading tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Operate Heavy Equipment: Supervise and operate heavy equipment such as excavators, bobcats, and mini excavators to perform excavation and grading tasks.
  • Excavation and Grading: Excavate for and build bioretention facilities, rain gardens, ponds, sediment basins, and other storm-water management facilities/BMPs.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Muck out and re-grade ponds, and perform other maintenance and repair tasks as needed.
  • Site Preparation: Shoot grades for stakeout and read/interpret cut sheets to ensure accurate site preparation.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and manage a small crew of 2-3 people to ensure efficient and safe operation of heavy equipment.
  • Additional Tasks: Complete other grading and excavation needs per the request of our clients.
Physical Requirements
  • Physical Fitness: Employee must be physically fit to perform duties of the job in all types of environments and conditions, including heavy lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling (up to 50 lbs.).
  • Visual Requirements: Regularly required to sit and stand, must be able to use hands to fingers, handle or feel and verbally communicate and listen.
  • Other Requirements: Other physical requirements include walking, climbing, balancing, and stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending or crawling.
Requirements
  • Eligibility: Eligible for employment in the United States.
  • Experience: 1-5 years' of experience with bobcat and/or mini excavator or larger equipment.
  • Physical Ability: Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Reliability: Reliable transportation.
Compensation
  • Hourly Rate: Up to $29/hr depending on experience.
