Sterile Processing Technician

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sterile Processing Technician to join our team at CommonSpirit Health Mountain Region. As a Sterile Processing Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient flow of our Sterile Processing department, promoting improved quality and patient safety in the Operating Room.
Responsibilities:
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Performing routine tasks relating to decontamination, processing, sterilization, and distribution of instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies.
- Monitoring and operating sterilization equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Maintaining accurate records in compliance with industry standards, including AAMI, AORN, Joint Commission, and OSHA.
- Providing education and training to non-certified staff to ensure compliance with regulations and best practices.
- Facilitating awareness and understanding of the importance of proper sterilization practices in the Operating Room.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Computer skills and experience working with medical equipment.
- CRCST or CSPDT certification, which can be obtained upon hire or transfer.
- A high school diploma or equivalent.

Pay Range: $22.08 - $37.19 per hour
Shift: Variable, Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm or 9:00am - 5:00pm, depending on surgery needs
