Naval Architect

Fincantieri Marinette Marine, a leading shipbuilder, is seeking a skilled Naval Architect to join our team in Marinette, Wisconsin. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing innovative shipbuilding solutions.

The Naval Architect will be responsible for solving complex technical problems, developing applicable documentation, and supervising assigned resources to support project requirements. You will work closely with senior engineers, chief engineers, and project engineers to determine technical requirements, define resource needs, and resolve technical issues.

• Work independently to solve technical issues and develop solutions
• Plan, estimate, schedule, and monitor assigned work and resources
• Track and report progress to budget and schedule commitments
• Supervise assigned resources and ensure effective communication
• Prepare, check, and issue professional-quality deliverables
• Interpret contract requirements and develop contract change documents
• May be required to define, track, and control subcontractor activities
• May be required to lead or participate in product improvement projects

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (or equivalent) or 13 years of relevant experience
• 4 years of experience in the engineering field with increasing responsibility
• Supervisory experience and Six Sigma or LEAN training desired

• Strong technical skills and knowledge of shipbuilding rules and regulations
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work within schedule and budget restraints
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
