This esteemed position within the University of Miami Health System entails a unique blend of clinical expertise and academic responsibilities.

With a strong emphasis on patient care, you will be expected to evaluate and treat patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings as part of the Psychiatry faculty practice at affiliated clinics. Additionally, you will supervise psychiatry fellows, general residents, and trainees in the provision of clinical services.

Your duties will include evaluating and treating cancer patients referred to the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences clinics, as well as teaching and supervising residents, fellows, and medical students. As with all other faculty members, this individual will participate in a monthly faculty call schedule. You may also be assigned additional clinical duties by the Division Chief or Department Chair/Vice Chair.

The position offers opportunities for involvement in research and other academic activities within the rapidly growing Department of Psychiatry, which boasts a national reputation for research, teaching, and clinical service.

To be considered for this role, you must demonstrate exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. A Medical Doctor (M.D.) or combined M.D./Ph.D. degree, board eligibility in psychiatry, and a Florida medical license are also required.
