Job Summary

Orthopaedic Specialty Group is seeking a highly skilled MRI Clinical Receptionist/Patient Care Tech to join our team. As a key member of our MRI department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care
    • Greet patients and visitors with warmth and compassion, ensuring a positive experience.
    • Provide and explain exam preps to patients, resolving any questions or concerns.
    • Assist technologists, physicians, and other staff as needed.
  • Administrative Support
    • Stock supplies, prepare and assist patients on and off the exam table.
    • Verify demographics, insurance eligibility, referrals, and authorizations upon check-in.
    • Scan photo ID, insurance card, and HIPAA forms in our electronic medical record system.
    • Schedule appointments and perform daily chart checks for future visits.
  • Communication and Liaison
    • Answer phones, transfer, and/or direct calls.
    • Act as liaison between patients and other staff, including medical assistants, physicians, and administrative assistants.
    • Maintain excellent communication with technologists and patients regarding wait times or physician delays.
Requirements
  • High school diploma required.
  • Medical terminology knowledge.
  • Minimum 1-year experience working in a physician group practice.
  • Knowledgeable of Anatomy & Physiology and medical terminology.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong written, telephone, and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Trained in MRI safety level II and BLS as required by the American College of Radiology.
  • Detailed knowledge of practice management and other computer software as it relates to job functions.
