We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Mule Creek State Prison. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to patients of all ages.
Key Responsibilities- Administer routine and complex respiratory therapy procedures to patients in various hospital settings, including the ER, ICU, and NICU.
- Set up and operate acute care ventilators for short- and long-term mechanical ventilation of adults, pediatrics, and neonates.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients to determine their respiratory care needs and develop effective treatment plans.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Provide education and training to patients, families, and staff on respiratory care procedures and techniques.
- Maintain accurate records and reports, including flow sheets, charts, and computer entries.
- Current license or written permission to practice as a Respiratory Therapist.
- Active registration with the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP Certification.
- 2 years of previous hospital experience, preferably in Emergency Room, Critical Care, Pediatric, and Neonatal settings.
